ABOUT THE TRAINER
Jennifer Sober

Jen has been in the fitness industry for over 30 years. She has a B.S. in Exercise Physiology from Trenton State College (The College Of New Jersey). Before moving to Deep creek, she directed and created wellness departments in major corporations such as American Express and AOL in big cities such as New York and D.C. Jen works with a broad range of class types as well as fitness levels from beginner to advanced to athlete.
Outside of work, Jen practices what she preaches. Her ability and passion for running as well as her inspiration to others earned her a spot with SAUCONY Inc. for 3 years and recently ran for HOKA ONE ONE.
Jen’s determination continues to bring her to major accomplishments. A big one being winning the 2013 Palm Beach Marathon in 90* temps. A 3:03 marathon is her personal record set at the age of 39 and 3:07 at age 40 for her Masters PR. She also qualified and competed in the Age Group World Championship triathlon in Beijing China, as a Team USA athlete. Jen hiked the entire length of the Appalachian Trail in 2004: 2200 miles, 5 months, Georgia to Maine. And back in her high school and college days, Jen was an All NJ State Champion and All American Track-N-Field Collegiate Athlete. Her determination and drive not only helps her achieve her own goals but also helps motivate and inspire clients with theirs.
She feels one of the most rewarding things in life is to be able to help others improve their health and quality of life. She helps them do this in her group exercise classes, with her personal training sessions and in coaching athletes of all levels and sports to their race & sport goals. The energy they get from her, is energy she gains as well!
